Weld Monitoring, Answered

Everything you need to know about how Arc Monitor Pro tracks weld production, what it works with, and how to get started.

What is Arc Monitor Pro?
Arc Monitor Pro is a cloud-based weld monitoring system. A small wireless unit on each welding machine tracks arc-on (welding) time minute by minute and streams it to your online dashboard, so you can see production, uptime, and trends from anywhere.
What is arc-on time and why does it matter?
Arc-on time is how long a welder is actually striking an arc — real welding time, not just clocked-in time. Tracking arc-on time shows true machine utilization, helps you spot idle stations, and gives you an objective measure of weld production.
What welders does Arc Monitor Pro work with?
Arc Monitor Pro works with virtually any arc welder — MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-core — from any manufacturer. It monitors welding activity electrically, so it isn't tied to a specific brand or model.
Do I have to buy the hardware?
No. Arc Monitor Pro is a subscription service, and the monitoring unit is included with your plan rather than sold outright — much like a cable box. You get the live data and cloud dashboards without buying or maintaining equipment.
Can I evaluate Arc Monitor Pro before subscribing?
Yes. We offer a 30-day on-site evaluation on a single base unit with a $50 refundable deposit on the hardware. Try it on your own shop floor, and if it isn't the right fit, send it back and we refund the deposit. Contact us to start.
How is the unit installed?
Installation is wireless and simple, with no electrical modifications. The unit connects to your existing Wi-Fi and begins reporting weld activity to your dashboard within minutes. See how it works.
Can I monitor multiple locations?
Yes. Arc Monitor Pro supports unlimited locations and devices. Each location keeps its own time zone — so reports always reflect local hours and you can compare sites accurately.
Can I export my weld data to Power BI or Excel?
Yes. Arc Monitor Pro includes an open REST API and a dedicated Power BI connector, so you can pull daily, weekly, and monthly weld summaries — by device, category, or location — into Power BI, Excel, or any tool you use.
Can it track individual welders, not just machines?
The base unit tracks the welding machine. An optional operator login pendant lets each welder badge in at the station, so weld time can be tracked by operator as well as by machine — useful for productivity, training, and accountability. You manage your employee roster in the portal, and per-employee totals appear in a By Employee report, the REST API, and Power BI.
How does employee weld tracking work?
Add employees in the portal with a name and a badge number. With the operator login pendant add-on, a welder badges in at the station and every weld minute is attributed to them until they log out or badge in at another machine. Badge-ins keep working during internet outages, sessions survive power loss, and totals appear in a By Employee report as well as the API and Power BI.
Is my weld data secure?
Your data is hosted securely in the cloud and is only accessible to your organization through your own login and API keys. Private application areas are not exposed to search engines or to other customers.
How much does Arc Monitor Pro cost?
Arc Monitor Pro is billed as a simple subscription that includes the hardware, cloud hosting, dashboards, and updates. Contact us for current pricing and to arrange an evaluation.
